Welcome to the May edition of our newsletter, which is full of exciting news and includes details of our forthcoming events.
Staff News
We would like to welcome Amy, Bethany, Haleemah and Natasha to the team. Amy, Haleemah and Bethany will be working on the lower floor and Natasha will be working on the upper floor.
Holiday Club and Out of School Care
We still have some spaces available in our Before and After School Club. For details about the schools we serve, availability and session timing, please call at the office. We offer a Before and After School Club for Holy Trinity and St Mary’s.
We are still taking bookings for our next Holiday Club, which will run from Monday 30th May until Wednesday 1st June. If you would like to reserve a place for your child, or would like more details, please speak with Emma or Salma in the office.
Activities and Planning
This month our focus will be numeracy in line with National Numeracy Day on Wednesday 18th May. Throughout the month we will learn all about numbers and shapes alongside other numeracy skills.
Dates for your Diary
- Monday 2nd May – Nursery closes for bank holiday
- Tuesday 3rd May – Focus Country
- Friday 27th May – Funded term ends
- Monday 6th June – Funded term restarts
Focus Country – Pakistan
On Tuesday 3rd May we will discover Pakistani culture, traditions and cuisine. We will dress in the colours of the Pakistani flag, which are Green and White. Please would you support your child’s learning by encouraging them to dress in the Pakistani colours on this day.
Mobile Phones
Please be reminded that mobile phones should not be used whilst waiting to collect your child, and that you should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the end of your nursery session, to allow sufficient time for collection and handover. Our regulator, Ofsted, regards the use of mobile phones as a child safeguarding issue and as such your help in this regard is very much appreciated.
Invoices
Please can we remind all parents and carers that invoices need to be paid in advance to avoid late payment charges. If you have any queries about this, please speak to Emma or Salma in the office.
Staff Member of the Month
‘Staff Member of the Month’ for April was awarded to Amy C for settling into the team really well and doing fantastic work in the Baby Room.
‘Room of the Month’ for April was awarded to Baby Room for their continued hard work and fantastic set ups.
