Welcome to the December edition of our newsletter, which is full of exciting and informative news and includes details of our forthcoming events.
Invoices
All invoices for December 2022 have now been sent out via email. If you have not received your invoice, please contact the office. Please be reminded that nursery fees are payable in advance. If you have any queries about this, please speak to Emma or Salma in the office.
Mobile Phones
Please be reminded that mobile phones should not be used on the premises while waiting to collect your child, and that you should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the end of your nursery session, to allow sufficient time for collection and hand over. Our regulator, Ofsted, regards the use of mobile phones a child safeguarding issue and as such your help in this regard is very much appreciated.
Staff News
Salma will be going on maternity at the beginning of the New Year and Kat will be covering the Deputy role in her absence. We would like to welcome a new colleague, Georgina, to the team; she will be working on the ground floor.
Holiday Club and Out of School Care
We still have some spaces available in our Before and After School Club. For details about the schools we serve, availability and session timing, please call at the office. We offer a Before and After School Club for Holy Trinity and St Mary’s. We also still have spaces in our Holiday Club for week commencing 19th December 2022. If you would like to book in please email or contact the office.
Activities and Planning
This month we will learn about winter and the festive period. We will look at different celebrations and also discuss the changes in weather. Hopefully, the children will get to explore and experience some snow, and learn why it snows.
Focus Country – Japan
On Friday 2nd December we will discover Japanese culture, traditions and cuisine.
Weather Changes
Now the weather is getting colder, please would you ensure your child has appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear with them for each session, as we enjoy exploring the outdoors in all weathers. Please also label all items with your child’s name as unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for any loss.
Staff Member of the Month
‘Staff Member of the Month’ for November was awarded to Emma for her continuous support and for being a positive role model. ‘Room of the Month’ was awarded to Pre-school for creating an exciting learning environment for their children. If you would like to nominate a member of staff, please do not hesitate to contact the office, or ask a member of staff for a nomination form.

Half Term Holidays – For the week commencing 19th December 2022 there will be no funding; however, if you would like to book in any extra sessions, please let us know as soon as possible so we can re-invoice for these sessions.
Nursery Closures – Nursery will be closed at the usual time of 6pm on Friday 23rd December 2022 and we will re-open on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 at the normal time of 7.30am.
