Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to the August edition of our newsletter, which is full of exciting and informative news and includes details on our forthcoming events.
Sun Protection
With the weather becoming warmer, please would you provide a sun hat for your child, clearly labelled with their name. Nursery will provide sun cream, which is Asda sensitive, sun protection factor of 50. Should you wish to use a different brand, please provide an unopened bottle, labelled with your child’s name to keep here at the nursery. We ask that you apply sun cream, when necessary, prior to your child attending their nursery session. Our regulator obligates us to ensure all children wear sun protection cream whilst playing outdoors, so your understanding and help with this important issue are very much appreciated.
Holiday Club and Out-of-School Care
We still have some spaces available in our Before and After School Club. For details about the schools we serve, availability and session timing, please call the office. We offer a Before and After School Club, for Holy Trinity and St Mary’s. In addition, we are now taking Holiday Club bookings for the October half term for all school-age children; this will run from Monday 24th October until Friday 28th October. If you would like to book your child in, please call the office.
Activities & Planning
This month we will learn about road safety and how to stay safe when out with family/ friends, We will create activities and take the children on outings to discuss this further.

Pre-school Graduation
We would just like to say a massive thank you to all who attended our Pre-School graduation. We wish all our children the best of luck as they start their adventure at school and we can’t wait to see some pictures of them in their uniforms.
Focus Area – Si Lanka
On Friday 12th August we will discover Sri Lankan culture, traditions and cuisine. We will dress in the colours of the Sri Lankan flag, which are Red, Blue and White. Please support your child’s learning by encouraging them to dress in the Sri Lankan colours on this day.
Staff Member of the Month
‘Staff Member of the Month for July was awarded to Kelsey for her positive attitude and for taking the lead in the Pre-school room in her senior’s absence.‘
Room of the Month for July was awarded to Pre-school for their hard work in ensuring that all children are ready for school and for organising fantastic graduation.

Goodbye
We would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to all our children leaving to go to school this summer. You will be deeply missed and will always be a part of the Tiny Tree family. We would also like to thank you as parents for your continued support throughout the years. We hope you all had a fantastic time here and made memories to take away with you and cherish forever.
