Tiny Tree Halifax Newsletter – September 2022

Tiny Tree Nursery Halifax Babies Room

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to the September edition of our newsletter, which is full of exciting and informative news and includes details of our forthcoming events.

Welcome

As a new term is upon us, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new families joining us, as well as welcome back all of our term-time families, who have been off for the summer. We hope everyone is excited for the upcoming term and ready to learn.

Holiday Club and Out-of-School Care

We still have some spaces available in our Before and After School Club. For details about the schools we serve, availability, and session timing, please call the office. We offer a Before and After School Club for Holy Trinity and St Mary’s.

We are now taking bookings for our next Holiday Club, which will run from Monday 24th October until Friday 28th October. If you would like to reserve a place for your child or would like more details, please speak with Emma or Salma in the office.

Invoices

All invoices for September 2022 have now been sent out. If you have not received your invoice, please contact the office. Please be reminded that nursery fees are payable in advance. If you have any queries about this, please speak to Emma or Salma in the office.

Activities and Planning

This month we will learn about literacy in line with International Literacy Day on Thursday 8th September and the various ways this can be used in a variety of exciting and educational activities.

Dates for your Diary

  • Monday 5th September – Funded sessions restart
  • Friday 23rd September – Focus Country – Spain
  • Focus Country – Spain

On Friday 23rd September we will discover Spanish culture, traditions and cuisine. We will dress in the colours of the Spanish flag, which are Red and Yellow. Please would you support your child’s learning by encouraging them to dress in Spanish colours on this day.

Mobile Phones

Please be reminded that mobile phones must not be used whilst waiting to collect your child, and you should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the end of your nursery session, to allow sufficient time for collection and handover. Our regulator, Ofsted, regards the use of mobile phones as a child safeguarding issue and as such your help in this regard is very much appreciated.

Staff Member of the Month

‘Staff Member of the Month’ for August was awarded to Aaisha for developing her leadership role within the room when her team leader has been absent.

‘Room of the Month’ for August was awarded to the Kitchen for coming up with some new and exciting ideas at meal times.

If you would like to nominate a member of staff, please do not hesitate to contact the office, or ask a member of staff for a nomination form.

Best Wishes from Emma, Salma and the Nursery Team
