Welcome to the December edition of our Newsletter, which is full of exciting news and includes details on our forthcoming events.
Partnership with Parents
Invoices
All invoices for December 2022 have now been sent out. If you have not received your invoice, please contact the office. Please also be reminded that nursery fees are payable in advance. If you have any queries about this, please speak to Kirsty or Natalie in the office.
Weather Changes
Now the weather is getting colder, please would you ensure your child has appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear with them. Please also label all items with your child’s name: This includes coats, hats, scarves, gloves and wellies. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for the loss of any items.
Government Funding – Important Dates
All those children who access the 15 and 30 hour grant funding, please be aware that funding runs until Friday 16th December. Therefore, from Monday 19th December 2022 until Tuesday 3rd January 2023, full fees apply.
Holiday Club
Bookings are now being taken for our Holiday Club, which will run from Monday 19th December until Friday 23rd December 2022. Children can attend our Club regardless of the school they attend; so if you have older children and would like further details, please call in to the office.
Out of School Care
We have spaces available in our Out of School Club, which runs daily during the school term from 7.30am until drop off and from pick up until 6pm. The schools we currently serve are Crompton Primary, Blackshaw Lane and St Joseph’s. Please call the office for further information.
Activities and Planning
Children’s interests and our partnership with parents, play a large part in our curriculum and the way we educate the children. If your child has a particular interest, please feel to speak to a member of staff who will be happy to take this information from you. We will in turn use this information to enhance your child’s learning and development.
Children in Need
We would like to say a massive thank you to all those who participated in our Children in need fundraiser event. We raised an amazing £140.36 for a great cause.
Focus Country
For December our Focus Country is Israel. On Monday 12th December we look forward to learning about this country’s culture, traditions and cuisine. To support colour recognition, please encourage your child to dress in Blue and White, the colours of the Israeli flag on this day.
Staff Training/News
Owl Competition
The November winners of our Owl Competition are Main House for their outstanding activities across all areas. Well done for achieving the most WOW moments! This month’s Golden Owl is awarded to Chantelle for a fantastic group story activity, completed with the children in Main House. This activity demonstrated the highest level of learning and development for all the children involved.
Staff Member of the Month
This month we have nominated all staff for their continued hard work through 2022. Well done
everyone! We look forward to another fantastic year here at Newbank House in 2023.
Dates for Your Diary
Christmas Dinner
On Tuesday 6th December our delicious Christmas Dinner will be served.
Christmas Concert
On Friday 9th December we will be performing our Christmas Concert, commencing at 2.15pm. If your child is not in on this day and is part of our Pre-school production, please bring your child in for 2pm on this day. Tickets are now available from Pre-school staff for anyone who requires them.
Christmas Party
On Wednesday 14th December we have our Christmas Party with a special visit from Father Christmas from 1.15pm.
Festive Clothing
Festive wear is encouraged throughout the whole week, commencing Monday 19th December. Please feel free to join in.
Please be aware that Nursery closes on Friday 23rd December at 6pm and re-opens on Tuesday 3rd January 2023 at 7.30am.
